Has anyone noticed that holding gubernatorial elections in the mid-terms between presidential elections may be making for less competitive elections in Georgia? Whichever party wins the White House invariably suffers in the elections two years later. Democrats running for statewide office in Georgia in 2014 will have to campaign with the millstone of Obamacare around their necks. That may be enough in itself to keep them out of the Governor’s Mansion yet again. Less competitive elections are bad for democracy and bad for our state. …DRIFTING
