ATLANTA — Georgians gave their governor a higher assessment for his handling of the second snow storm, according to survey results released Monday.

Gov. Nathan Deal had been blasted by challengers and ridiculed here and in the national media for his handling of Winter Storm Leon in January that left metro Atlanta residents stranded on highways for hours and their children stuck in schools overnight, in some cases.
