The ground is thawing, birds are chirping, and the air is thick with pollen.  It’s the time of year when Democrats and Republicans find common ground, when blue and red finally come together.  We’re talking, of course, about the return of Braves baseball!  Coming off a successful 2013 campaign that saw the young Braves win 96 games and win the NL East, a spring training marred by injury has expectations a tick lower.  Nevertheless, nothing brings the state, (if not the whole southeast) together quite like our Bravos, and as they play their home opener tonight on the 40th anniversary of Hank Aaron’s 715th home run, we can all agree that when Turner Field is filled with 45,000 fans doing the tomahawk chop, the mood of the state is RISING…
