Isakson Pushes for Answers on Savannah Harbor Project

While most politicos in the state of Georgia are focused on next week’s primaries, U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson continues to push for answers from Sylvia Burwell on the next steps needed to progress the Savannah Harbor Project, (known informally as SHEP).  Burwell, the President’s nominee for Secretary of Health and Human Services, laid out the steps needed to move forward with SHEP, which figures to have a cost-benefit ratio of 5:1 and would support hundreds of thousands of jobs throughout the nation each year.  There is still work to be done, but with Isakson leading the fight to get SHEP underway we have to feel as though its prospects are RISING…
