Braves Stadium Story Takes Turn
The latest in the ongoing drama between supporters and opposition of the Braves’ move to Cobb County sees private investigators being used to dredge up over 10,000 emails relating to the stadium deal. The targets of the investigation include two of the five Cobb commissioners as well as two of the most prominent private citizens who have spoken out against the move. One of those targeted, Susan McCoy, has had someone douse her front yard in gasoline and set it alight shortly after filing a complaint with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission over Cobb’s plan to issue bonds to finance stadium construction.
