Falcons Stadium Cost Jumps
The cost of the new Falcons stadium, due to open in time for the start of the 2017 season, has jumped $200 million from its original proposed cost of $1.2 billion. The extra cost will not come from taxpayer dollars, but it will likely bleed into PSL and ticket prices for what already promised to be a pricey endeavor. Not a good sign when the budget starts jumping by hundreds of millions of dollars some 2.5 years before scheduled completion… It’s no disaster but the situation certainly seems to be DRIFTING…
