Arts Center Receives Largest Donation in its History

The Woodruff Arts Center, the southeast’s largest ‘cultural consortium’, will receive the largest gift in its history – $38 million – from  the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation, its largest benefactor.  The Arts Center, which hosts the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Alliance Theatre, the High Museum of Art and Arts for Learning, has to be thrilled to receive such a generous donation at a time when funding was starting to become an issue, particularly for the Symphony.  Great news for the Arts Center and for the city of Atlanta, both of whose ships are RISING…
