Tricky Situation for Grady, Insurance Company
Unable to come to a deal over insurance rates, Grady Hospital has dropped the health insurance provider Blue Cross Blue Shield. Grady claims that the insurance company does not offer the same rates it does other Atlanta hospitals, while BCBS says that they have offered to increase payments multiple times over prior rates. Protesters, led by State Sen. Vincent Fort, marched outside the Buckhead MARTA station on Tuesday, hoping to raise awareness for a situation that may leave many Grady patients unable to use their insurance a the hospital.
