State Representative John Carson is a driving force in the State House for a move to more of a consumption tax, a hot topic down at the Gold Dome in recent years.  On Tuesday he pitched his plan before the House Ways & Means Committee, an important step as the plan takes form leading up to the 2016 legislative session.

The presentation is a hefty 61 pages, but the gist of it is to lower both the personal and corporate income tax by 1% while raising the sales tax by the same percentage to even it out.  It would be a business friendly move for a state that has been pitching its friendliness to all sorts of industries as of late.
