SB 63, passed during the 2015 legislative session, allowed breweries to offer varying price levels for tours, essentially enabling them to sell their beer directly to consumers. While not a perfect solution, the bill was universally praised by local breweries seeking to deregulate their industry and get on even footing with neighboring states. This week the Department of Revenue announced that they would be enforcing a stricter pricing model which wouldn’t allow for breweries to offer different, more expensive beers at higher price level ‘tours’. For the 11th consecutive year, beloved Atlanta-based fast food giant Chick-fil-A took home top honors from the American Customer Satisfaction Index.
