Former City of Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran has filed a federal lawsuit against the city and Mayor Kasim Reed for firing him due to his religious beliefs. Cochran was fired after spreading around a self-published book to colleagues which contained negative views about homosexuality and same-sex marriage, a firing which according to Cochran and his lawyers, was a violation of his constitutional rights.
