Fiscal year 2016 first-half profits for the Georgia Lottery Corp. reached their highest since inception in 1993. Fiscal year 2016 2nd-quarter profits are the largest second-quarter profits and the second largest transfer to education in a single quarter. All this means that 2nd-quarter profits transferred to the state treasury’s Lottery for Education Account totals $262.6 million, surpassing last year’s 2nd-quarter transfer by more than $21.6 million.
