In case you somehow missed it, long-time conservative Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia died on Saturday from natural causes while on a hunting trip in Texas. Scalia was the longest serving justice on the Supreme Court and a hero to many Republicans and others on the conservative side of the aisle. His death has triggered a new firestorm in this presidential election year as politicians of both Democrat and Republican stripe wrestle with the political fallout.
Reaction to Scalia’s death has somewhat quickly been overshadowed by the uncertainty for the Court in this last year of the Obama administration. However, both of Georgia’s Senators released statements praising Scalia’s influence and service.
