The state of Georgia ranked 32nd per capita among the 41 states that have a state income tax, per data from the Tax Foundation.  Georgians pay an average of $832 for income taxes per year, one of the higher totals in the southeast but still lower than states like North Carolina and Virginia.  That number is still too high according to some Georgia legislators, who continue to look for ways to lower, or get rid of entirely, the state income tax.  For now our low-end income tax total is DRIFTING…
