U.S. Sen. David Perdue of Georgia gave a speech on the Senate floor yesterday to set the record straight on about the ongoing “Water Wars” debate between our state and Florida and Alabama. (Florida, in particular, claims Georgia is unfairly “stealing” water.) Says the senator: “Georgia has been a good steward of our water resources, and this has repeatedly been validated. In fact, metro Atlanta water systems have gone above and beyond the necessary water management practices to ensure that they are conserving as much water as possible and efficiently using the water they do withdraw.” With regard to water, Senator Perdue’s boat is definitely RISING…
