A grant from Georgia philanthropist Bernie Marcus will enable Atlanta’s Shepherd Center to double the size of its program for injured veterans. After receiving about $3.8 million from the Marcus Foundation, the Shepherd Center recently purchased an approximately 15,000-square-foot building near its Buckhead campus. The hospital, the world’s largest spinal cord and brain injury facility in the world, expects to start using the building by the end of the year. For the center and the foundation– and especially America’s veterans– their boats are RISING….
