Georgia Power is known for their quick response to power outages, but when Hurricane Matthew struck the state’s coast this weekend it was more than your typical thunder storm with some downed power lines.
Check out this map to see outages statewide including the coast, where many are still without power. The map updates every 10 minutes.
Emergency personnel and utility crews were quick on the scene though, working both to clean up areas damaged by the hurricane as well as trying to get power back online.
Kudos to both groups, who have been working extremely hard and with impressive response time to help Georgians get back on their feet after the devastating storm.
