Williams and legislatively implemented in the 1980s through the skillful bipartisan efforts of then-state lawmakers Roy Barnes and Johnny Isakson. That’s why is it fitting that the Council of Quality Growth hosted a first-class Atlanta Botanical Gardens reception this week to unveil the first annual “John Williams CID Leadership Award.” The first recipients? Former Governor Barnes and current U.S. Senator Isakson. And, by the way, there are now 25 CIDs in Georgia. And as for captains Williams, Barnes and Isakson– all their boats are RISING…
