On Friday city leaders gathered to break ground on the new Cook Park near Mercedes-Benz Stadium.  The 16-acre park will serve as an anchor for the Atlanta BeltLine which passes through the area, as well as a ‘community gathering place,’ and a monument to the city’s role in the Civil Rights Movement.  The $45 million development will also contain a large retention pond which should aid flooding issues in Vine City.  Another beautiful park, especially one that honors the city’s history and serves a practical purpose at the same time, has Atlanta’s ship RISING…
