The Atlanta City Council today voted to increase the budget for the Vine City Bridge near Mercedes-Benz Stadium over Northside Drive. The bridge, which had a price tag of $12 million approved over the Summer, will now cost Atlanta taxpayers some $23 million. Carr joins LSU football fight
In the South, college football is religion – and now it’s politics too. Members of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) are furious with LSU over its attempts to sign players already in the NFL to come back to college to play for the Tigers. On Wednesday, Attorney General Chris Carr, (presumably at the behest of some big names at UGA) urged the SEC to take “all measures available” against LSU.
