Afghan war veteran Matt Solon was handcuffed, put in the back of a Kennesaw police officer’s cruiser and charged with battery and possessing a firearm during the commission of a crime. But wait! Cameras reveal that Solon and his friends were actually accosted by a gun-wielding man– and Solon says he reacted to disarm the would-be assailant to protect his three friends, including the son of U.S. Congressman Barry Loudermilk, from being shot. Police claim Solon was an assailant who went too far. What? As for the gun-wielding accoster, he wasn’t immediately arrested— and he already has charges pending against him that involved drugs and gun possession. If there is any Cobb County justice, the charges against the hero who possibly saved lives will be dropped. For now, it looks like the Kennesaw police are DRIFTING……
Fani Willis to skip Senate hearing
Attorneys for Fulton Co. District Attorney Fani Willis say she plans to ignore a pair of subpoenas and skip a scheduled Georgia Senate special committee hearing later today.
