The Atlanta City Council Monday approved a $20 million purchase of about three acres of land to expand Piedmont Park.  Critics are already questioning the move, pointing out that some $10 million comes out of the T-SPLOST pot while not going toward any pre-approved transportation infrastructure.  $20 million is a whole lot of money for such a small addition, but is part of a bigger expansion plan supported by many local businesses.  The park-expansion process is still underway, but spending such big money for small results has city officials DRIFTING…
