Railroad giant Norfolk Southern is considering moving its HQ to Atlanta, but it’s looking for a Gulch deal before it does so. The Fortune 500 company owns part of the property around the Gulch in downtown, land that it hopes to sell as part of the ongoing redevelopment talks between the mayor and the city council. Should that process move forward and Norfolk can sell its land, it would move ahead with building a new headquarters building in midtown, bringing more than 1,000 high paying jobs with it. One of Georgia’s most prominent law firms is getting even bigger – with the announcement that Troutman Pepper is merging with Locke Lord, effective at the start of 2025.
