Bibb County School District Superintendent Curtis L. Jones Jr. last week was named the 2019 National Superintendent of the Year by the American Association for School Administrators. The West Point graduate and former Army officer has brought some of that military background to the county, where his “Victory in Our Schools” plan has turned around the once-struggling district following the firing of former superintendent Romain Dallemand, who pleaded guilty to tax evasion.
