As the Georgia Department of Transportation continues with its plans to widen and expand Ga. 400 near I-285, some Sandy Springs residents are caught in the crossfire.  The news came down last week that the GDOT will have to purchase some 40 homes to widen the highway, putting hundreds of others much closer to the highway than they expected.  Such is the price of progress, but for Sandy Springs residents who have suddenly learned they may be forced to sell their homes their ships are DRIFTING…
