U.S. Rep. Rob Woodall (R-GA) announced last year that he would not seek re-election in 2020.  Already a field of Democrats are lining up in the race to replace him – and they aren’t messing around.  Carolyn Bourdeaux, who narrowly lost to Woodall in 2018, announced that she has already raised $350,000 to fuel her next campaign.  Fellow Dem Nabilah Islam has raised $100,000 herself.  No Republicans have yet declared for the race, though state Sen. Renee Unterman (R-Buford) is expected to be her party’s frontrunner if/when she officially joins.  However with Dems coming very close in 2018 and now already getting out to a fundraising head start for 2020, their odds at taking the seat appear to be RISING…
