For years local officials have made promises that street lights were coming to the popular Eastside BeltLine – and now it appears they actually are. The Light the Line initiative started back in 2016, with the goal of installing lights along much of the BeltLine between Krog and Ponce, where dark spots have lead to increased crime. Fani Willis to skip Senate hearing
Attorneys for Fulton Co. District Attorney Fani Willis say she plans to ignore a pair of subpoenas and skip a scheduled Georgia Senate special committee hearing later today. The move will no doubt enrage GOP lawmakers and set up a courtroom battle, likely in the Georgia Court of Appeals over the legality of Legislature-ordered subpoenas, with Willis’ attorneys arguing they are void because they were issued after the 2024 legislative session.
