Savannah’s big gang bust

Savannah officials announced this week the indictments of seven gang members they believe to be responsible for a string of nine separate shootings this year.  Chatham County District Attorney Meg Heap and her staff worked to prepare and present the cases, utilizing the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act to level charges against the gang members, who were part of the Only The Mob and 1100 Block gangs in Savannah.  For Heap, Savannah Police Chief Roy Minter, and others working tirelessly to put an end to gang violence, the ship is RISING…
