Much has been made recently of the tax breaks given to the film and television industries in Georgia, and whether or not the state is actually coming out on top in that deal.  Down in Savannah, though, it’s more good news for the region as the Savannah Regional Film Commission’s annual report revealed some record breaking numbers for 2019.  129 professional projects generated $125.6 million in direct spend and $266.3 million in economic impact for the region.  Legislators will surely examine the film tax credits currently in place, but for the Savannah region it’s hard to deny that in 2019 the movie industry had the Hostess City RISING…
