Atlanta Public Schools has zeroed in on a replacement for outgoing Superintendent Meria Carstarphen, whose contract was controversially not renewed for next year. Spelman College graduate Lisa Herring was announced this week as APS’ sole finalist for the position, and she boasts an impressive resume. The Macon native helped turn around Birmingham’s struggling schools as superintendent, regaining full accreditation for the district in 2018 after it had been put on probation five years earlier. Chick-fil-A takes top prize (again)
For the 11th consecutive year, beloved Atlanta-based fast food giant Chick-fil-A took home top honors from the American Customer Satisfaction Index. The ACSI study interviews some 200,000 diners per year as they work to assess customer satisfaction with American’s biggest fast food brands, and Chick-fil-A beat out Starbucks and Panda Express to retain its crown.
