The other day another Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport contractor pleaded guilty to paying a $20,000 bribe to an unnamed city hall procurement official. (The city of Atlanta controls the graft-riddled procurement/vendor process at the world’s busiest airport.) Hayat Choudhary, chief executive of Atlanta Airport Shuttle Services Inc., paid bribes after the city in May 2017 announced a 10-year contract to operate a kitchen/restaurant, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia. A continuing federal corruption probe of Atlanta city hall, especially centering on the airport, is now over three years old.
