Thanks to coronavirus Georgia has missed out on some major events this year, including the NCAA Final Four. But could it be picking one up later this fall? President Donald Trump over the weekend expressed his displeasure with North Carolina officials over not being able to assure him that the scheduled GOP Convention could go on as planned in August. Immediately Georgia Republicans, including Gov. Brian Kemp, rushed to express interest in a rescheduled convention, along with the more than 2,500 delegates and thousands of other guests it would bring, (plus all their $$$ and eyeballs). The event now stands in flux, and of course there are COVID concerns to consider, but having a shot at one of the country’s premier political gatherings could see Georgia RISING…
U.S. Justice official: Willis case ‘is disgusting’
A new undercover video from journalist Steven Louder revealed Nicholas Biase, the U.S. Justice Department’s public affairs chief, calling New York City charges brought against Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump a “travesty of justice,” adding this was why Trump is surging in the polls. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg got Trump convicted for falsifying business records. But Biase says the Democrat DA “was stacking charges … just to make it fit a case. I think the case (against Trump) is nonsense.” Addressing the election case brought by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, Biase said: “It’s a mockery of justice. She is a joke. Like, her and her boyfriend she was seeing, the whole thing is disgusting. And they’re just out to get [Trump].” SINKING…
