Following this summer’s protests and riots, Georgia officials approved some $5 million worth of security improvements at the State Capitol, including an eight foot tall fence around much of the building.  Critics called that investment overkill, but following yesterday’s shocking events in Washington D.C. where protestors stormed the U.S. Capitol, it is looking like a prudent decision.  It is unfortunate that such measures are needed, but safety is paramount, so beefing up security at the State Capitol has lawmakers, staffers, and the public RISING…
