A new bill filed by state Sens. Lee Anderson, R-Grovetown, and Max Burns, R-Sylvania, would split Columbia County off from the Augusta Judicial Circuit, creating its own judicial circuit with its own district attorney. Kelly Loeffler was the latest Georgian to be tapped by President-elect Donald Trump for a key role in his upcoming administration, in this case to head up the Small Business Administration.
