Expectedly, May tax revenues for Georgia are up big time over the same month in 2020, with the numbers painting a rosy picture of the state’s economic recovery.  Net tax collections came in at $2.66 billion, up 68 percent from last year.  Individual income tax collections jumped 82 percent, while sales tax collections spiked by 42 percent and the motor fuel tax by 50 percent.  Tax return date changes make month-to-month comparisons an inexact science, but nevertheless the big numbers have Georgia’s economic outlook RISING…
