In around two-thirds of Georgia’s counties, agribusiness and industries related to agribusiness are either the largest or second-largest parts of the economy. This massive industry has created for itself an authentic voice in the public arena.  One of those key voices is that of Will Bentley, who has led the Georgia Agribusiness Council since 2018, representing everything from Georgia farmers to prominent manufacturers and everything in between.

The organization has over 1300 members here to fight on behalf of the agribusiness in the state, which is Georgia’s largest industry. The economic impact of this industry is over $70 billion each year and accounted for nearly 410,800 jobs in 2015.

Bentley sat down with our friends at Georgia CEO this week to discuss agriculture’s economic impact on Georgia and how you can help support Georgia’s farmers by buying local.
