Republican leadership under the Gold Dome made good on their pledge to take care of law enforcement officers statewide on Monday – with Gov. Brian Kemp and Speaker David Ralston announcing one-time $1,000 bonuses to nearly 81,000 policemen, firefighters, and emergency responders. The state’s first responders have been put under an enormous amount of pressure over the past 18 months, between COVID, protests and riots, and a crime wave that has seen a spike in violence. Former federal prosecutor tapped for Army post
Former U.S. Attorney Bobby Christine has been called up by the Trump Administration once again, this time to serve as Judge Advocate General for the U.S. Army. That would make him the head of the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, better known as JAG, the legal arm of the Army.
