According to data from the University System of Georgia, Georgia Tech’s economic impact on the state in 2020 clocked in at more than $4 billion.  Much of that is from the university’s Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) — the state’s oldest technology incubator, which has helped hundreds of startups find their footing over the years.  ATDC is far from alone, the school has four other major startup programs across various fields.  Then of course there is its research arm, which brought in $1.2 billion in new grants and contracts in FY2021.  Tech’s footprint in the Atlanta metro – and really statewide – is RISING…
