A staggering announcement from the Atlanta Police Department, which reports that 1,795 guns have been stolen out of cars since Jan. 1st of this year. That’s nearly 1,800 firearms in the hands of criminals in a city still in the midst of a violent crime wave, more than five guns per day stolen out of cars. It shouldn’t need to be said but remember to lock your car, and put valuables (like guns!) in a locked glovebox – this number has Atlantans’ safety SINKING…
Moldova soon to be welcoming a Georgian
It is rare for a native-born Georgian to serve as an ambassador to a foreign nation, but J. Mark Burkhalter is one of that elite having been nominated by President Donald Trump and then just confirmed by the U.S. Senate to be U.S. ambassador to the Republic of Moldova. The Alpharetta native represented north Fulton County in the General Assembly for 18 years and briefly served as speaker of the House of Representatives. A successful real estate developer, Burkhalter is a University of Georgia alum with a double major in German and Slavic Languages, and Global Studies/Political Science. As he prepares to locate in a country (a U.S. ally) bordered by Romania and Ukraine, his boat (and Georgia’s) is RISING….
