On the heels of the Buckhead Cityhood movement, DeKalb County residents are reviving an effort to form their own “City of DeKalb” that if approved, would become one of the largest cities in the state. Encompassing a similar area as the 2014 attempt to form the south DeKalb city of ‘Greenhaven,’ the proposed city would have about 200,000 residents. The proliferation of Flock Safety license plate readers has been praised by law enforcement officials, and met with suspicion by critics.
