Gov. Brian Kemp on Wednesday announced two new appointments to the University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents – prominent businessmen (and Kemp supporters) Tim Evans and Jim Syfan.  The men replace outgoing Kessel D. Stelling, Jr. and Philip A. Wilheit, whose seven year terms expired.  What the new regents could mean for the ongoing search for a new chancellor -and the possibility that it could still be former Gov. Sonny Perdue – remains to be seen.  But for Evans and Syfan an appointment to the powerful BoR has their ships RISING…
