Each year an estimated 5 million, or 1 in 10, older Americans are victims of elder abuse, neglect or exploitation. The North Georgia Elder Abuse Task Force Foundation tackles the rising challenges of elder abuse by fostering collaboration among local law enforcement, criminal justice agencies, public and private health services, first responders, senior services, local and state regulators and community organizations. NGEATFF volunteers have conducted more than 200 coordinating and training seminars for over 1,000 law enforcement officers and 6,000 civilians relating to elder abuse issues.
