Kennesaw State University in Cobb County only began its football program in 2015. It quickly found success at the FCS (one tier below where UGA and GT play) level, making the playoffs in each of the past four seasons and winning the Big South Conference three times. But Coach Brian Bohannon and the Owls have their sights set even higher, receiving approval yesterday from Georgia’s Board of Regents to move its athletics programs to Conference USA and join the FBS. ICE operation catches criminals
During the Biden administration illegal immigrants overwhelmed systems ranging from healthcare to schools. Illegal alien street gangs flourished. Now, though, Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced the results of an enhanced immigration enforcement operation throughout Georgia. “Operation Safe Community” yielded 1,226 immigration arrests in recent weeks. Of those individuals who snuck across our borders, 720 had been convicted or charged with crimes in the U.S. According to ICE, the criminal histories of the arrested aliens include sex crimes, crimes against children, aggravated assault, assault and battery, drug crimes, lewd and lascivious acts, weapons crimes and burglary.
