A record 50 million Americans wagered a staggering $16 billion on the Super Bowl, a major increase from 2022 as more states have legalized sports betting.  However none of that money (legally) came from Georgia, where the issue remains a hot one at the General Assembly (a sports betting bill dropped Monday).  Rest be assured though that many Georgians still bet on the big game, whether through offshore sites or bookies.  That’s a lot of money that could be taxed – missing out on a major revenue stream that many other states are happily raking in leaves Georgia DRIFTING…
