Unit 3 at Plant Vogtle has hit 100% power for the first time, one of its final milestones before it begins full operation.  At full capacity the new unit has an output of roughly 1,100 megawatts, enough to power more than 500,000 homes and businesses.  The project has undergone many ups and downs since it began all the way back in 2009, but as it reaches completion Georgians can expect clean, renewable energy for the next 60 to 80 years.  Commercial operation is scheduled to begin in June.  RISING…
