A brazen Target shoplifter who successfully stole a television, only to return it and steal a more expensive one, begged that he didn’t want to go to the filthy, overcrowded Fulton County jail (who would?) as Atlanta police chased him down outside the store. A Target security guard flagged down arriving officers and they confronted the shoplifter with the second TV on top of a cart. Police said the suspect fought with an officer until backup arrived and arrested him. “I didn’t mean it! I don’t want to go to jail,” the shoplifter yelled. Perhaps the saying “you can’t fix stupid” applies in this case. Hopefully, this high-profile arrest will serve as a deterrent and have more store owners RISING and more store thieves SINKING…
Loeffler to head SBA
