Gov. Nathan Deal announced this week that Georgia’s net tax collections for May totaled approximately $1.73 billion. This is an increase of more than $160 million compared to May of last year, more than 10%. The increase in individual income tax year over year for May was 17.6%, more than $130 million. Total revenues for the year are at nearly $20 billion, a near 5% increase over last year.
