State regulators have levied a $3M fine on the Hyundai Glovis Co., the shipping and logistics firm that own the cargo ship the Golden Ray, which capsized off the coast of St. Simons in 2019. The penalty is for “pollutants, petroleum products and debris” that spilled from the South Korean freighter, both during its wreck and its extensive removal process, which only recently finished. Proposed Fulton Co. property tax hike
Fulton County homeowners let out a collective groan Monday following the announcement that property taxes will be increasing by more than 12% over the rollback millage rate.
