The University of Georgia became one of the very last SEC schools to allow beer sales at football games last season, but the revenue they brought in might make some Athens bookkeepers wish they’d started sooner.  New numbers show the school made $2,794,481 in gross revenue from sales of beer and hard seltzer last season, with the Tennessee game taking home top honors in particular.  Athletic Director Josh Brooks says his emphasis hasn’t been on the money, but making sure the rollout was done “the right way.”  So a win on both counts – and with a monster home schedule this fall that includes Alabama, Texas and Ole Miss all paying visits to Sanford Stadium, expect an even bigger beer sales haul in 2025.
