HB 280, the much discussed ‘campus carry’ bill passed the Georgia House on Friday following a contentious debate and vote, sending it to the state Senate for the next step on its journey to the desk of Governor Nathan Deal.  Deal of course vetoed similar legislation last year, but has been lukewarm in his opposition this year.  Passing the House is a good sign, but as we saw in 2016 the fate of ‘campus carry’ in Georgia is still DRIFTING…
